Chasca is a five-piece rock band based in San Marcos, Texas, who have recently emerged from The Bubble Studio in Austin, Texas, where they recorded their debut EP “Bedtime For Bedlamites” with uber producer and mad scientist Chris “Frenchie” Smith (Built To Spill, Dandy Warhols, Jet, Meat Puppets, Trail of Dead – just to name a few), who’s also known as the guitarist and mastermind of 16 Deluxe and Young Heart Attack.
Chasca has been playing around Texas for a couple of years, steadily building a fanatic fan base for their unique brand of cabaret-glam rock and roll. When the band plays live there is a madness coated with a divine patina that recalls the words of Jack Kerouac as the band and audience become, “the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue center light pop and everybody goes ‘Awww!’”.
